How to Transcribe and Trim Audio and Video Files
If you have incorporated audio or video files into your course, transcribing and trimming it will help add professionality to it. This article will teach you how to create and edit a transcription, and trim your videos.
Note: Please note that transcriptions are only available for the English language. |
To transcribe your audio or video file:
Add your audio or video file to the course. Select Transcribe Video or Transcribe Audio on the top left corner of the file. This will bring you to the Transcription Tool interface.
The transcript will be generated automatically. This may take a few minutes.
You can choose to stay in the interface, or you can leave and continue editing your course while the transcript is being generated.
You will receive a bell notification when your transcript is ready.
To edit the audio or video transcript:
Once generated, you can edit the transcript for spelling and punctuation.
Select ↺ to undo and ↻ to redo on the top right.
Select Save to return to your activity.
To trim your audio or video :
Generate a transcript. You can trim the transcript to trim the corresponding section of the audio or video file.
Click and drag to highlight the section in the transcript you wish to remove.
Click on ✂ in the top-right corner to select the trim media tool and remove the highlighted section of the transcript.
To undo, select ↺ in the top-right corner or highlight the section you wish to restore and select ✂ again.
Select Save to return to your activity.
