Adding and Removing Your Skills for the First Time

This article will walk you through how to add and remove skills on the onboarding page.


Understanding the Skills Gap Analysis Page

After you have selected a target job, you will be directed to the Skill Gap Analysis page. This page will show the most frequently requested skills for the specific target job that you have selected.


These skills have been identified as the most in-demand based on recent job market data in Singapore, such as job postings in Singapore, and it is updated regularly to ensure that the skills are up-to-date and relevant. 


Baseline skills are common, non-specific skills that can be applied across different target jobs. Some examples of baseline skills are:

  • Communication

  • Problem solving

  • Teamwork/collaboration


Specialized skills are specific skills, knowledge, or proficiencies that are particular to the specific target job. Some examples of specialised skills are:

  • Quality Assurance and Control

  • Budgeting

  • Change Management


Adding skills  on the Skills Gap Analysis Page

Once you have selected a target job, all of the most in-demand skills will be shown. 


To add skills that you have:

  1. Hover your mouse over the skill that you would like to add, and this icon will appear on that skill.

  2. Select to add the skill.

  3. After you have selected all of the relevant skills, click Save on the top right hand corner of the page.




To remove skills that you have selected: 

  1. Hover your mouse over the skill that you would like to remove, and this icon will appear on the skill.

  2. Select to remove the selected skill.




Adding more skills that are not in the list 

You will be able to add more skills once you have completed the onboarding process. Refer to this article to add more skills to your profile.
