Updating your Skills Profile Using your Resume or CV

This article will walk you through how to add skills to your profile by uploading your CV onto ZilLearn Skills.


To add skills to your profile using your CV

  1. In your dashboard, select Skills under your belt as shown below.



  1. Alternatively, you can find your skills by selecting your profile on the top right corner of your page, and select My Skills.



  1. Select Upload CV and you will be prompted to select your CV from your computer folders.



  1. ZilLearn Skills supports the following formats for your CV upload: .txt, .doc, .docx, .rtf, and .pdf. Please ensure that the file is no bigger than 1 GB in size.


  1.  ZilLearn Skills will analyse your CV and extract any detected skills. This may take a few seconds.


  1. You should see a message on the bottom right corner of your page confirming that your skills have been added successfully. 



  1. If the skills extracted from your CV already exists in your My Skills page, it will not be added to prevent duplication.



Note: You can choose to re-upload your CV as many times as you want and any new skills detected will be added to your skills. Skills that you have already added will not be added again to prevent duplication. 



Adding or removing skills after uploading your CV

After successfully uploading your CV and having your skills extracted, you can still add or remove skills to your My Skills page. You can do so by selecting Remove skills or + Add skills.
